2. When will I receive a water bill?

You should receive your water (utility) bill on or about the 1^st of the even months (February, April, June, August, October & December).

3. When is my bill due?

Payment is due, without penalty, 30 days after the bill date. If a due date for a water bill falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be the next business day.

4. Is there a fee if my water bill is not paid by the due date?

Penalty for past due water bills is 5% of the billing cycle balance.

5. What if my bill is 30 days or more past due?

For accounts that are more than 30 days past due, a shut off notice may be sent.

6. I received a shutoff notice. Now what?

Once you receive a shutoff notice, you have 30 days from the print date to pay your past due balance. Failure to pay by the due date will result in a door hanger being delivered to your property for final notice to pay. Failure to pay by the date on the door hanger will result in shut off of your water service.

7. My water was shut off for non-payment. What now?

• Once your water service is shut off for non-payment, you must pay the past due balance plus a turn on fee.
• Turn on fees vary
• $25 turn on fee applies when you make your payment between the hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday
• $60 turn on fee applies when you make your payment between the hours of 3:30pm – 5pm Monday – Friday.

8. Why does my water bill show an estimate reading?

• If your reading is estimated, it means your meter is not transmitting a reading to us. An appointment must be made to repair this part of your meter.
• Appointments are:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:30am – 10am OR 1:30pm-3:30pm
  • An adult (age 18 or older) must be home at the time of the appointment

9. How do I obtain a final water bill?

• An appointment must be made to obtain a final water bill. At least 24-hour notice must be given.
• Appointments are:
• Monday – Friday
• 8:30am – 10am
• If you are selling your home, you must have completed the City Certification process. If this process has not been completed, a final water bill will be denied.
• Once a final reading is obtained, final bills are mailed to you or you can come to the office to pick up a copy.
• Final Bills will not be emailed or faxed.
• If your last reading was estimated, an adult (age 18 or older) must be present to allow access to the property to obtain the reading and replace the water meter.
