Microenterprise Assistance Grant Program

Accepting applications from Sept. 1, 2020 to Sept. 30, 2020 at 11:59 am.

Grant funds available for businesses with 500 employees or less-

There are currently TWO opportunities for businesses to apply for a grant to help recover revenue lost and cover expenses incurred due to COVID-19.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5 is the last day to apply.

The Macomb County Small Business Sustainability program 
This grant is specifically for Center Line businesses with 50-500 employees. Eligibility and further details can be found on the website. Please click on the link to learn more.

Michigan Small Business Restart Program

In response to the economic impact of COVID-19, the State of Michigan has allocated $100 million of CARES Act funding to implement the Michigan Small Business Restart Program to support the needs of Michigan Businesses directly impacted by COVID-19. The application for businesses to apply for funding will open on July 15, 2020.
This has been extended to Aug. 5, 2020 at 5:00 PM. If you need assistance with your application call Center Line Economic Developer Collin Mays at 586-758-8269

The Macomb County Small Business Sustainability program will make up to $20 million available to help local small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The funds will be distributed as $5,000 grants that businesses can use to offset losses created by the coronavirus pandemic.

Paycheck Protection Program Edition (click on link to open newsletter) -It now appears that the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is the small business equivalent to toilet paper. Between media reports and few lenders accepting applications, this has turned into a frenzy. I had been advising that companies may want to wait a few days as the bugs in the application process were worked out, but now I am advising that you apply as soon as possible.
