You can go online to the Michigan Voter Information Center to see your ballot and proposals. Just fill in your county, city and precinct.
Important Election Information
The Clerk’s office is responsible for administering all elections. For the most up to date information regarding registering to vote, absentee voting, polling locations, sample ballots and much more visit www.mi.gov/vote.
You are qualified to vote in Michigan if:
- You are a citizen of the United States.
- You are at least 18 years of age by election day.
- You are a resident of Michigan and at least a 30 day resident of the city or township where you are applying to register to vote by election day.
The Saturday before each election, the clerk's office will be open for 8 hours, also posted on www.mi.gov/vote. On Saturday, November 4, 2023 the office will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for election purposes only.
How to Register to Vote:
Visit the website at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/registervoter
- complete the application and return it to the City Clerk in-person or by mail.
- Register online at the Michigan Voter Information Center.
The next Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 and the polls will be open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM. The following candidates will be placed on the ballot:

Your absentee ballot application looks different. You no longer need to check a reason to get an absentee ballot.
As always, if you want to vote absentee, you must return the signed application form to the Clerk’s Office, located at 7070 E. Ten Mile Rd, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Residents way also return their signed absentee voter application to the drop box located by the front door of city hall.

Absentee ballots for those voters qualified to receive them and not on the permanent absentee voters list. You can be placed on a permanent absentee voter list to receive application for every election.

Election Poll Hours
Election polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
