Pilates is a stretch and strengthening program especially designed to develop long, lean muscles. Pilates is used by many professional dancers and athletes; however, it is appropriate for anyone desiring to increase strength, flexibility, and endurance. Pilates classes incorporate several principles into the instruction, namely: breathing, centering, control, concentration, flow, postural alignment, endurance, relaxation and precision. Pilates is a wonderful way to learn how to control one’s “core” muscles, all in a relaxed, enjoyable, low-pressure atmosphere.
Bring an exercise mat, wear loose fitting clothes, and bring a water bottle.
9:50 am – 10:35 am
