A Message from Director Myszenski

As the Director of Public Safety, I, Paul J. Myszenski would like to take this opportunity to thank each every resident of the City of Center Line for supporting the Public Safety Millage. Your Public Safety Department is comprised of a group of officers who are highly motivated and dedicated to supplying the City of Center Line with the utmost in professional law enforcement and fire protection services. The sole purpose of our department is to create a safe environment for the residents and visitors of our community.

Key Storage Security Lock

If you or a family member is sick/injured or has a history of falling down and need medical attention, we can help, if you install a Key Storage Security Lock on your front door. You can register the lock with us. We will only use it to gain entry into the home to administer medical assistance and/or assist in emergency situations. We will not open the home for family or friends. Officers will not be permitted to use the keys to check on the interior of the home if you are out of town, even at your request. You will have control over who knows the combination you will set. The code, waiver, and contact list will be stored in our dispatch center and will only be accessible to Police personal when needed.

If you have any questions you may call our station and talk to a dispatcher or ask for Lt. Tom Costello, Badge #23. We will let you know where you can purchase the locks and how to install them if requested.

File for Life

The File For Life is a red envelope that you keep on your refrigerator. It is simply a form that holds important medical information about you. In the event that our Public Safety officers are first responders to a medical emergency in your home, our officers will go directly to the refrigerator, retrieve the form and use the information enclosed to help you.

File for Life envelopes are available at the Public Safety Department, City Hall, or the Library. Please contact 586-757-2203 for further information.

Crimedar is an online crime-tracking service. You will be able to see a map of the location of crimes that occur within our city limits. This allows you to know exactly what is happening in your neighborhood. The following link will take you to the CRIMEDAR map.

Cell Phones for Soldiers

Donate your old cell phones and help our troops call home. The old cell phones you donate will be used to buy calling cards for our troops.

There is a collection box located in the lobby of the Center Line Public Safety Department.
